What is PLA?
PLA is short for Polylactic Acid. It is derived from corn starch or sugar cane, unlike other commonly used plastics, which are procured through the distillation and polymerization of nonrenewable petroleum reserves.
Since PLA filament is a biodegradable product, it naturally breaks down in about three to six months when sent to landfill, making it a better option than commonly used plastic!
